HARRIS ROSENBLUM
BIO
Harris Rosenblum’s art is an investigation into the spiritual potential of contemporary alienation. He is interested in craft, post-industrial materiality, manufacturing, and the novel intelligence borne by networks. He is a contributor and moderator for Do Not Research, a digitally native community and publishing platform. Rosenblum is a founding partner of Transcendence Creative, the first 360 corporation with a historical materialist approach to brand identity. According to Travis Diehl of The New York Times, “[Rosenblum] works in the niche between nerdiness and saintliness, depicting the struggle for belief itself—a squirm-provoking inquiry in today’s ideological climate.”
Rosenblum was born in 1994 in Baltimore, MD, and lives in New York, NY. He received his MFA from Kent State University in Kent, OH. Rosenblum has participated in recent exhibitions at Petzel Gallery in New York, NY; Inorganic SARA’S in New York, NY; No Gallery in New York, NY; and Blade Study in New York, NY. Rosenblum’s work has been featured in The New York Times, Cultured, Dazed, Artnet.com, Polygon, and elsewhere. He is a member of the internet art collective Do Not Research.
